A Snapshot of Your Day
The Senior Heavy Lift Technician provides technical leadership and supervision during offshore heavy lift operations. The role ensures the safe and effective execution of critical tasks, drives continuous improvement in technician competency, and supports compliance with safety, quality, and technical standards across M&MP HL RM operations.
How You’ll Make An Impact
Operational & Technical Supervision
- Support operations and, when required, take the lead in supervising critical tasks.
- Mentor teams in the use, certification, and calibration of tools and equipment and act as Technical Lead for queries with Service Technology and field staff.
- Coach and develop SGRE and contractor technicians, ensuring competency growth.
- Provide direct supervision of all technicians on shift.
Safety & Leadership
- Demonstrate active safety leadership on vessels, turbines, and across the wind farm.
- Ensure accurate reporting of incidents, accidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions.
- Assist with evidence gathering and investigations alongside EHS and Vessel Managers.
- Act as a role model for safety culture and compliance.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance with safety standards.
- Participate in workshops for RAMS development and review.
- Maintain the RAMS register and SharePoint, ensuring version control and correct archiving.
- Deliver technical and safety Toolbox Talks; ensure records are stored correctly.
Planning & Coordination
- Assist with WTSR applications (AWP/EIP) and liaise with Authorising Engineers.
- Ensure wind farms are equipped with current documentation prior to jack-up arrival.
- Support Prep & Finish and Troubleshooting teams by sourcing technical documentation and spare parts.
- Escalate technical issues to Vessel Managers and OSL-HL PMs; liaise with local site contacts to provide updates.
- Coordinate and accomplish assigned tasks within offshore OSL-HL operations.

What You Bring
- Proven experience as a Senior, Advanced, or Troubleshooting Heavy Lift Technician.
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation, with demonstrated experience in writing and reviewing RAMS.
- Experience working with contractors and customers, with effective stakeholder management skills.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and mentoring abilities with high attention to detail with commitment to safety and quality.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing technical and safety training (on- and off-the-job).
- Ability to produce accurate and timely reporting in compliance with customer and organisational requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications; willingness to undertake further digital skills training.
