Senior Manager - Consolidation & Hedge Accounting | 6-Month Contract

📍 London | Hybrid – 4 days office / 1 day WFH

💷 £500–£600 per day | Outside IR35

⏱️ Immediate start / max 2 weeks’ notice

We’re looking for an experienced Qualified Accountant with strong expertise across financial consolidation, treasury and FX hedge accounting to join a leading international fintech on an initial 6-month contract.

This is a key role within the Finance/Treasury function, focused on strengthening global consolidation, foreign currency accounting and FX risk management across a complex, multi-entity, multi-currency environment.

The Role:

  • Leading monthly multi-currency consolidation and close activities across international entities.
  • Managing foreign exchange accounting, CTA, remeasurement and intercompany transactions under IAS 21.
  • Overseeing intercompany eliminations, equity movements and CTA reconciliations.
  • Working closely with Treasury on FX exposure management and hedging strategies.
  • Accounting for and monitoring a diverse portfolio of FX derivatives, including forwards, swaps and options.
  • Applying IFRS 9 hedge accounting principles across balance sheet and cash flow hedging activities.
  • Supporting international intercompany funding, capital structures and net investment hedging.
  • Driving improvements across finance and treasury processes, systems and controls, including NetSuite and TMS environments.
  • Providing clear FX, consolidation and treasury analysis to senior leadership, auditors and key stakeholders.
  • Leading finance transformation and process improvement initiatives to increase automation, accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent.
  • Immediately available to start the contract or on a short notice period (max 2 weeks)
  • 7+ years’ relevant experience within financial consolidation, FX accounting and/or treasury.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of IAS 21 and IFRS 9, particularly hedge accounting.
  • Proven experience consolidating international, multi-currency entities.
  • Practical experience with FX hedging and derivative accounting.
  • Strong understanding of treasury risk management and foreign currency exposures.
  • Experience working with ERP and Treasury Management Systems; NetSuite experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, international financial services, fintech, banking or Big 4 environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex FX and accounting matters to senior audiences.
