The Role:

• Provide emergency driver cover when needed.
• Hold HGV Class 2 with up-to-date cards.
• Assist with duty cover in the absence of the Depot Manager.
• Ensure vehicles are despatched at the correct time.
• Maintain accurate record keeping and processing of paperwork.
• Have a good basic knowledge of computer use including emails, excel and word.
• Assist with Inductions and on-going training for employees.
• Carry out and record daily vehicle safety checks, reporting any defects or other maintenance.
• Work within the company guidelines on productivity and efficiency.
• Assist with Loading and unloading vehicles as required.
• Assist the Depot Manager to ensure good housekeeping, maintenance of the vehicles, site risk assessments, and accident reduction analysis.
• Maintain confidentiality of Company and Customer business.
• Foster and maintain good working relations with colleagues.
• Conduct any reasonable requests made by management including ad hoc duties as required.
