Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Waltham Forest Talking Therapies, formerly known as Waltham Forest IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Services) for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to join the management team.
Main duties of the job
We are keen to offer this opportunity to a CBT therapist with at least 3 years experience in an IAPT primary care service undertaking operational duties, line managing staff and offering clinical supervision while carrying a small caseload.
The post holder will demonstrate high standards of supervision, strong leadership and a commitment to team working. We are preferably looking for someone who has managerial and/or supervisory experience as the main aspect of this role will be operational. The successful candidate will maintain a small caseload of clients in addition to their operational role, which will include performance management, budget analysis, managing sickness absences, health roster, service development and supporting the team to meet Trust/NHS Talking Therapies KPI’s. The post holder will also have knowledge and skills in using Trust & Talking Therapies Data Systems.
The post holder will have a Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy qualification, hold practitioner accreditation with the BABCP or be a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Goodmayes Hospital.
Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period.
High Cost Area Supplement Outer London (B&D, Redbridge, Havering and Waltham Forest, CEME)
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,714 to a maximum of £5,941 p.a. pro rata for part time).
