Your new company

An established social housing organisation is seeking an experienced Housing Services Assistant (Senior Level) to provide temporary support for a 4-month period. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong housing background who enjoys a varied role combining housing management, customer service, compliance administration, and tenancy support.

Working as part of a busy housing team, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality services to tenants and residents while ensuring compliance obligations are effectively managed.

Your new role

  • Supporting the delivery of day-to-day housing management services.
  • Processing and managing housing applications and allocations administration.
  • Coordinating compliance activities including:
    • Gas servicing programmes
    • Electrical Inspection Condition Reports (EICRs)
    • Access arrangements and compliance record management
  • Processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Liaising with tenants, contractors, and internal departments.
  • Assisting with tenancy management enquiries and housing administration tasks.
  • Maintaining housing management databases and ensuring records are up-to-date.
  • Providing excellent customer service and responding to enquiries professionally and efficiently.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience working within a social housing, housing association, or local authority setting.
  • Experience undertaking housing management and tenancy-related administration.
  • Knowledge of housing compliance requirements, particularly gas servicing and electrical safety programmes.
  • Experience processing invoices and maintaining accurate records.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.

Desirable

  • Previous experience using HomeMaster housing management software.
  • Experience supporting allocations, tenancy management, or wider housing services functions.
