Job Summary and Key Responsibilities
This role will provide a diplomatic, collaborative and discreet individual with ample scope to make their mark and impress at a growing brand that’s fully committed to staff satisfaction and career development. We’re looking for a motivated, driven, organised and meticulous team player to join our HR team. You will be committed to carrying out your duties with integrity and confidentiality, and to maintaining and expanding your already impressive knowledge of employment legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the ER support for investigations - formal grievances/disciplinaries
- Lead on major restructures
- Review relevant people data and partner with regions on ER topics to support in achieving business objectives
- Attend regional meetings twice a year
- Lead on appeals from HR Advisor level cases
- Mentoring HR Advisors
- Wellbeing support
- Deliver training sessions to team and wider business
- Support with litigation cases
- Support HR Advisor team leader with admin on their cases (appeals mainly)
- Cover HR Advisor team leader role during annual leave
- HR projects
- Support in upskilling managers on HR best practice and ER capability
- Point of escalation for HR Advisor queries
- Review of stage 1 outcomes for HR Advisors
- Support with attrition review and actions
- Proactively identify improvements within the HR function and support with implementing any required actions
- Be part of the HR Advisor team cover during leave
- Support with undertaking pro-active approach action points
- Provide support to new managers joining through TUPE
- Attend Becket House, Worthing quarterly for HR Meetings

What Are We Looking For
Essential
- At least 3 years of recent HR Advisor experience, expertly advising on employee relations matters whilst applying employment legislation
- Experience in running ER cases such as disciplinaries, absence management, grievances and capability processes
- Experience in advising on and implementing business changes such as restructures and redundancy processes
- Strong UK employment law knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills, with experience of building and managing productive relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Experience of managing and interpreting data
- Strong organisational and time management skills in order to manage multiple ER cases simultaneously and with great attention to detail
- Experience of working with HR databases
- Experience of working within a team
- Strong experience of report writing using software such as Microsoft Word
- Ability to be flexible, successfully adapting to changing business needs while delivering excellent service to all stakeholders
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy and complex role
- Willingness to work flexibly when needed

- CIPD qualified or working towards qualification
- Multi-site experience from a central location would be advantageous
