Senior HR Advisor
We are seeking an experienced, proactive and commercially minded Senior HR Advisor to join a fast-paced professional services organisation and play a key role in supporting its people strategy. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor looking to step into a more senior role, or an established Senior HR Advisor seeking a broad and influential position within a successful and growing business.
This is a varied generalist HR role for an HR professional who enjoys working closely with managers and stakeholders, providing practical, credible and commercially focused advice across the full employee lifecycle. A key element of the role will be using management information (MI), people data and analytics to identify trends, provide meaningful insight and help inform business and people decisions.
Working closely with the HR Manager and wider HR team, you will deliver high-quality HR support, coach and advise managers, strengthen people practices and contribute to key HR initiatives within a dynamic and constantly evolving environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide professional, commercially focused HR advice and guidance to managers across the full employee lifecycle.
- Take ownership of a range of employee relations matters, including absence, disciplinary, grievance, welfare, capability and performance cases, ensuring matters are managed effectively and appropriately.
- Coach and support managers in handling people matters, building their confidence and capability to manage their teams effectively.
- Provide advice and guidance on HR policies, procedures and processes, ensuring consistency and compliance with employment legislation and best practice.
- Build strong and credible relationships with stakeholders, working closely with managers to support effective people management and business performance.
- Analyse HR MI, people data and KPIs, identifying trends and translating data into meaningful insights and practical recommendations.
- Support the development and maintenance of HR dashboards, reporting and people metrics, using data to highlight areas of opportunity or concern.
- Support recruitment and attraction activity, including candidate pre-screening, interviews, salary benchmarking and employer branding.
- Support reward and compensation activity, including annual pay reviews, bonus administration and market benchmarking.
- Prepare accurate HR documentation, contracts, letters and employee correspondence.
- Support onboarding, payroll-related processes and wider HR operational activity as required.
- Identify opportunities to continuously improve HR processes, policies and working practices.
- Support learning and development initiatives and work with managers to identify development needs across the business.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, focus groups and employee feedback activities.
- Contribute to wider HR projects and initiatives that support the organisation's people strategy and business objectives.

Requirements

- Proven experience in an HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor/generalist HR role, with the confidence to operate at a senior advisory level.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
- Strong practical experience independently managing employee relations cases, including absence, disciplinary, grievance, capability and performance matters.
- Sound knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Strong MI, people data analytics and reporting capability, with the ability to translate data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Experience using HR systems, HR metrics and KPIs to identify trends and support business decision-making.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate, analyse and present HR data effectively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the credibility and confidence to coach, challenge, influence and advise managers at different levels.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with strong judgement and the ability to balance employee and commercial considerations.
- The ability to operate at pace, manage competing priorities and maintain a high level of accuracy in a busy environment.
- Previous experience working within a professional services environment.
