Senior HR Advisor (Maternity Cover 12 months)

The Beauty Tech Group's people function is scaling as fast as the business behind it, and we're looking for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to provide maternity cover across our HR and office team. You'll be the trusted voice managers and employees turn to for complex employee relations matters, keeping our HR operations running smoothly, and giving hands-on guidance to our HR Assistant along the way.

Please note this role will report into our CFO/COO.

What you'll be doing

Employee Relations & HR Advice

  • Provide practical, commercially focused HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
  • Lead on complex employee relations matters — grievances, disciplinaries, capability, performance and complex absence cases — ensuring they're handled fairly, consistently and in line with policy and legislation
  • Support investigations and prepare related documentation, letters and meeting materials, escalating high-risk cases to our external employment-law adviser where needed
  • Maintain accurate records of employee relations cases and ensure actions are followed through

HR Operations & Administration

  • Oversee the effective delivery of day-to-day HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding and absence management
  • Prepare and review contracts, letters and other HR documentation, keeping records and systems accurate and up to date
  • Assist with HR reporting, and ensure HR policies and procedures are communicated and applied consistently
  • Keep up to date with relevant employment legislation and HR best practice

Management & Development of HR Assistant

  • Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance and support to the HR Assistant, allocating and prioritising work to keep the function running effectively
  • Review work, provide constructive feedback and coaching, and support the HR Assistant's development across a broader range of HR activities
  • Act as the first point of escalation for more complex employee or manager queries

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Experience managing a range of employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinaries, capability and absence
