At Arriva UK Bus, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded Senior HR Business Partner to join our People team and play a key role in delivering our people strategy across our Midlands region.

Reporting to the HR People Operations Director, you'll act as a trusted advisor to senior operational leaders, helping to drive business performance through effective people strategies, organisational development, employee engagement, and operational excellence.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and is passionate about building high-performing teams and creating positive workplace cultures.

The Role

As Senior HR Business Partner, you'll work closely with senior leaders to ensure our people agenda supports business goals and future growth. You'll lead and support key people initiatives, provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, and play a central role in organisational change and transformation programmes.

You'll also be instrumental in developing leadership capability, driving talent and succession planning activities, and ensuring the delivery of a professional, customer-focused HR service across the region.

What You'll Be Doing

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
