Location: Plymouth– Hybrid working, 3 days on-site per week
Rate: DOE £35–£40 per hour Via Umbrella
Contract: Six months; subject to extension
Start: ASAP
Must be eligible for SC clearance

The Opportunity

We are recruiting exclusively for an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join an established organisation operating within a highly regulated industry.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders to deliver both strategic and operational people initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders to develop and deliver the organisation’s people strategy
  • Lead strategic workforce planning, ensuring the business has the skills and capability required for future growth
  • Develop and implement effective talent retention and succession-planning initiatives
  • Support talent acquisition activity for business-critical and specialist positions
  • Provide guidance on organisational design, restructuring and workforce change
  • Use workforce data and HR insights to identify trends and inform decision-making
  • Coach and advise managers on complex employee relations and performance matters
  • Ensure HR practices remain compliant with employment legislation and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Support wider change, engagement and continuous-improvement programmes
  • Build strong relationships across HR, leadership and operational teams

  • Substantial experience operating as a Senior HR Business Partner or in a comparable position
  • A strong background within a regulated or compliance-led industry
  • Demonstrable experience in strategic workforce planning, talent retention and talent acquisition
  • Confidence partnering with and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Experience managing complex organisational change and sensitive employee matters
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualification, or equivalent experience
  • Available to start at short notice and attend the site 3 days per week

Desirable

  • Have SC clearance or Defence/ Engineering experience
