Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys variety, building trusted relationships and solving real business challenges?

SYLO | Beyond HR is looking for a Senior HR Consultant to join our growing consultancy team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to move beyond traditional HR and work as a genuine strategic partner to a diverse portfolio of clients.

Established in 2010, SYLO is a team of 20+ professionals supporting SMEs, national and international organisations across a wide range of sectors. About the role

As a Senior HR Consultant, you’ll manage your own portfolio of clients, providing a combination of strategic and hands-on HR support. You’ll work directly with business owners, senior leaders and managers, helping them navigate everything from day-to-day people issues to complex organisational change.

Your work will include:

  • Providing expert HR advice across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Managing complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability and performance matters.
  • Advising on redundancy, restructure and TUPE processes.
  • Supporting absence management, family-friendly rights and flexible working.
  • Conducting HR audits and reviewing policies, processes and compliance.
  • Helping clients develop practical people strategies aligned to their business goals.
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, probation and performance processes.
  • Designing and delivering HR and people-focused training.
  • Advising on reward, pay and benefits.
  • Supporting clients with employment law updates and implementation.
  • Delivering a range of HR projects, from policy development to organisational change.
  • Acting as a trusted sounding board for business owners and leadership teams.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
