Summary
This is a senior-level contract role with a local authority, focused on providing expert HR, organisational design, and transformation support for corporate restructuring initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Director of HR, Workforce and Transformation, as well as other senior leaders, to develop and implement effective restructuring strategies. Key responsibilities include managing consultation processes, supporting organisational design activities, and overseeing senior recruitment related to organisational changes. This position is crucial for ensuring that restructuring efforts align with the authority's objectives and future workforce needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and provide expert advice on complex corporate restructuring and organisational change programmes.
- Develop restructuring proposals that align with organisational goals and future workforce needs.
- Collaborate with Directors, Senior Managers, HR colleagues, Trade Unions, and employee representatives throughout the restructuring process.
- Design and review organisational structures to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Draft, review, and ensure the quality of job descriptions, role profiles, grading documentation, and organisational design materials.
- Prepare consultation documentation, staff briefing packs, reports, presentations, and communication materials.

Requirements
- Substantial experience in leading complex corporate restructures, reorganisations, or organisational change programmes at a senior level.
- Proven experience advising Directors, Senior Leadership Teams, and key stakeholders on organisational design and workforce transformation.
- Experience in developing restructuring proposals from initial concept through consultation and implementation.
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Employment Relations, Transformation, Business Management, or a related discipline.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent professional qualification in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Organisational Development, or Change Management.
- Basic DBS required.

- Contract duration: 3 months
- Rate: £750 per day umbrella

- Location: 25 Windsor Road, Slough, Berkshire, SL1 2EJ, United Kingdom
- Interviews will be conducted face-to-face at Observatory House.
- Bi-weekly payment schedule.
