AMETEK GB is looking for a Senior HR Manager to join the team
AMETEK GB is looking for a Senior HR Manager to join the team, with responsibility for ensuring consistency across the region, as well as direct responsibility for AMETEK GB hosted employees. Working closely with the Country Manager, the successful candidate will contribute to operational and strategic decision-making.
Your job with us:
- Be the business partner to the Country Manager UK and Nordics
- Be the senior HR contact for employees within the AMETEK GB entity
- Support the hiring, development and retention of key talents and key contributors
- Manage and harmonize HR policies and processes within AMETEK UK and Nordics at a country level, ensuring standardization where possible and appropriate
- Build strong relationships with the Business Unit HR leads within your countries and the Country HR Managers from the EMEAIB region
- Lead and implement all restructuring and/or mergers & acquisition activities
- Drive performance management, development and succession processes
- Manage recruitment and recruitment processes and development of new recruiting strategies
- Further develop and implement talent management strategy to attract and keep talents
- Rollout and maintain compensation programs, conduct salary reviews
- Manage the insured benefits programme and annual renewal process for the UK
- Be the primary contact for the administration of the UK pension scheme
- Take the role of Authorising Officer for all visa applications for AMETEK GB and AMETEK European Holdings
- Oversee HR administration and complete reporting activities so that tasks are delivered cost effectively, accurately & on time
- For AMETEK GB, manage and ensure that payroll is done within the regular established timeframe
- Lead the local HR team (currently 1 direct report) and HR projects across UK and Nordics
- Work closely with the European HR team to create and deliver appropriate processes to support business goals
- Support global HR projects and activities as required and lead the local roll-out within UK and Nordics
- Identify improvement opportunities and lead organizational development projects
- Co-ordinate GDPR activities with the external provider for the UK
- Ensure that all HR activities are in line with legislation, compliance, quality, policies and business requirements

Your skills matter:
- University degree or equivalent, preferably HR related
- Experienced in similar Senior HR roles for at least 10 years or more
- Expanded practical experience, preferably in a global multinational US company
- Excellent grasp of employment law and practices for UK and Nordics
- Know-how in the areas of M&A activities
- Willing to travel across UK and Nordics to support the multiple sites of AMETEK GB Ltd
- Ability to inspire people and successfully guide them through the UK and Nordics HR specifics
- Ability to create energy and urgency within the team to drive projects and goals to completion
- Able to challenge and to motivate people, teams and organizations
- Mindset of continuous improvement and efficiencies, facts based, KPI driven with good grasp of digital tools
- Strong negotiating skills, resilience, persuasiveness, and a self-confident manner
- Strong communication skills in English, other European languages an advantage
- Proactive, team-oriented approach with creativity and flexibility to adapt to changes
- Structured, pragmatic and result-oriented way of working
- Confident user knowledge of MS Office (including Excel), SAP Success Factors an advantage
- Ability to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs
- Residence in UK
