About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Senior HR Officer for our client, to deliver a comprehensive and professional HR service across the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR practitioner to influence people practices, support managers in managing complex employee matters, and contribute to organisational development and workforce planning initiatives.

Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will provide expert guidance across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, safeguarding requirements, organisational policies and HR best practice.

Key Responsibilities

As Senior HR Officer, you will play a key role in supporting managers and employees on a wide range of HR matters. You will lead on employee relations casework, attendance management, recruitment activity, safeguarding compliance and HR projects, while ensuring all HR processes are delivered efficiently and consistently. The role offers significant variety and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to organisational effectiveness, employee wellbeing and continuous improvement.

About You

We are looking for a confident and credible HR professional who can build strong working relationships across the organisation and provide practical, commercially focused HR advice.

You will have:

  • Previous experience in a Senior HR Officer, HR Advisor or equivalent role.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience managing employee relations cases independently.
  • Knowledge of recruitment, safeguarding and compliance processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience producing and analysing HR data and management information.
  • A professional, confidential and solution-focused approach.

Desirable

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience using HRIS and payroll systems.
