Our client, a large and highly respected public sector organisation is now seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Senior HR Partner to join their HR team on a permanent basis.

As Senior HR Partner you will be joining a team of experienced, credible and committed HR colleagues and will line-manage a small team within the department, working closely with Business Partnering, L&OD and EDI colleagues to lead on HR Projects, Organisational Policy and Reward.

The key focus of this role will be to lead on a range of HR-related projects and reward initiatives for the organisation, working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders. You will also drive the development, review and implementation of policies, ensuring that they adopt best practice, remain compliant and provide a positive staff experience.

To Be Considered You Will Also Require

  • A professional HR qualification and current CIPD membership, along with substantial proven work experience as an HR professional, gained in a large, complex public sector environment.
  • Demonstrable operational knowledge of UK Employment Law and its practical application to HR processes and administration.
  • Proven HR case work experience, including disciplinary processes, grievance, absence management and claims of harassment and bullying as well as leading the HR support for change management projects.
  • Experience of working with trade unions.
  • Experience of developing and executing workshops for staff and managers.
  • Confidence as a people leader with experience of managing a small team.
  • Experience of working with key stakeholders in a partnering relationship and the ability to prioritise a busy workload and conflicting demands.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information and data to a variety of audiences including senior management.
