Senior HR People Partner

Circa £40000

This is a multisite role with a base at St Neots or Oakham - travel will be required, therefore a full driving license and access to a car will be required.

Great care starts with great people.

Are you an experienced HR professional who wants to make a real difference to both people and the quality of care they provide?

We’re looking for a confident, compassionate and commercially-minded Senior HR People Partner to join our team and partner with our Service Managers, General Managers and Senior Management Team across our care homes.

This is more than an advisory role. You’ll have the opportunity to shape our people agenda, influence leadership, improve employee experience and help build stable, engaged teams – all while ensuring our people practices support safe, high-quality and compassionate care.

What you’ll do

You’ll be a trusted HR partner to our operational leaders, providing a blend of strategic insight and hands-on support. You’ll:

  • Partner with senior leaders and General Managers on people strategy, workforce planning and organisational priorities.
  • Provide expert advice on complex employee relations, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance and absence matters.
  • Coach managers to become more confident and capable people leaders.
  • Use people data and trends to identify challenges and turn insight into practical action.
  • Lead initiatives around retention, engagement, wellbeing and employee experience.
  • Support workforce stability and help reduce reliance on agency staffing.
  • Work alongside Recruitment and Learning & Development to strengthen onboarding, development and career pathways.
  • Ensure HR practice supports safeguarding, compliance and the wellbeing of our residents.
  • Lead, coach and develop an HR Officer, helping to deliver a responsive and high-quality HR service.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
