Located in Bradford, West Yorkshire, px Group’s Wyke Agrichemicals Manufacturing Plant site is one of the UK’s leading crop protection manufacturing facilities and an important part of px Group’s Chemical division. The site manufactures and supplies products that help farmers protect crops and produce more from the land.
Wyke is a Top Tier COMAH site, operating a complex chemical manufacturing environment where safety, reliability, and operational excellence are fundamental to everything we do. With a skilled workforce across manufacturing, engineering, laboratory, supply chain, and support functions, the site offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a highly technical environment.
The Opportunity
We are now recruiting for a Senior HSE Advisor.
As a Senior HSE Advisor, based at our Wyke site and reporting to the Site HSE Leader, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Health, Safety & Environment function and helping to drive a positive safety culture across the site. You will work closely with manufacturing, maintenance, and operational teams to ensure continually improving HSE performance through effective and legally compliant management systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HSE professional looking to develop their career within a complex chemical manufacturing environment while contributing to the safe and sustainable operation of our business.
You’ll be supported with personalized on-the-job training, coaching, mentoring, and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert HSE advice and guidance to managers and site teams, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and compliance reviews to support robust HSE management systems.
- Lead and support risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analysis activities.
- Analyse accident and incident data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Support HAZOP studies, transfer-to-manufacture processes, and management of change activities.
- Manage contractor HSE processes, including approvals, inductions, and on-site audits.
- Deliver engaging HSE training and help build a sustainable behavioral safety culture across the site.
- Support emergency preparedness activities and maintain effective relationships with regulatory authorities and emergency services.
- Assist with the maintenance of COMAH, environmental permitting, and other statutory compliance requirements.

Minimum Requirements
We're looking for a proactive and influential HSE professional who enjoys working collaboratively and driving high standards across a manufacturing operation.
You'll ideally bring:
- NEBOSH Diploma or an equivalent Level 6 qualification.
- Membership of IOSH or Registered Safety Professional status.
- Experience within a chemical manufacturing environment, with COMAH experience highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of auditing, risk assessments, incident investigation, and root cause analysis methodologies.
- Experience facilitating HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, or similar process safety studies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coach and influence others.
- A passion for continuous improvement and developing a strong safety culture.
