Company Description
Arco Academy is a dynamic and growing specialist SEND school, encouraging KS 3 and 4 pupils to succeed academically through access to sport and support therapies. With a commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive culture, we strive to create an environment where both students and staff can thrive and flourish.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-orientated Senior Human Resources Assistant to join our Administration team, supporting Senior Leaders and other members of staff on a part-time basis.
Role Description
The Senior Human Resources Administrator is a flexible 2-day a week role, working mostly from home with the availability to work on site when required, responsible for managing and coordinating day-to-day HR operations across the school. This position oversees employee lifecycle processes, including recruitment support, onboarding, contract preparation, and record maintenance in HR systems. The administrator maintains HR documentation and policies, and ensures compliance with labour and employment regulations and school-specific requirements. The Senior Human Resources Administrator will serve as a key point of contact for staff HR queries, support performance management and employee relations, and collaborate with leadership to implement HR initiatives that support a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

Contracted on a self-employed basis with negotiable salary of £170-250 per day, depending on skills and experience.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, including managing end-to-end employee lifecycle processes.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and Outlook applications including Excel, Word and other forms of technology.
- Experience with HR systems eg BreatheHR, Bromcom, CPOMS, InVentry for maintaining accurate, confidential employee records.
- Manage monthly payroll processes for employees and contractors through Telleroo.
- Liaise with external payroll providers to ensure accurate payroll and PAYE administration.
- Working knowledge of Employment Law and the ability to support compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a school environment.
- Previous experience in an educational setting is beneficial.
- Bachelor's or Master's degrees in Human Resource Management or Business Administration or relevant HR qualification or certification (e.g., CIPD or equivalent) preferred.
