Senior HR Advisor

My client, a leading corporate and commercial law specialist, with offices around the world, is looking to hire a Senior HR Advisor to cover a 12-month FTC.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a high-performing People team within a highly respected international law firm. Working closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, and People Operations teams, you will play a key role in delivering a first-class HR service across a designated client group.

The position offers broad exposure to the full employee lifecycle and would suit an HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, managing employee relations matters, supporting recruitment activity, and driving positive employee experiences within a fast-paced professional services environment.

As a trusted partner to both employees and managers, you will provide practical and commercially focused HR advice while supporting key people initiatives across the business. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, helping to deliver effective people solutions and ensuring the smooth running of HR processes.

This role offers significant variety, covering employee relations, performance management, onboarding, parental leave, wellbeing, talent initiatives, and annual people processes, alongside the opportunity to contribute to wider HR projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a primary HR contact for designated business groups, providing advice and guidance on people-related matters.
  • Support managers with employee relations issues, performance management, probation reviews, and policy interpretation.
  • Provide practical guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practice.
  • Support flexible working arrangements and hybrid working processes.
  • Manage parental leave processes and provide support to employees throughout their leave journey.
  • Assist with candidate shortlisting, interviews, and stakeholder management.
  • Coordinate onboarding activity and support new joiners through their induction period.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with new employees to support successful integration.
  • Work alongside Talent Development colleagues to support learning and development initiatives.
  • Contribute to career development and employee engagement activities.
  • Assist with performance reviews, promotions, salary reviews, and bonus cycles.
  • Support absence management processes, including return-to-work meetings and occupational health referrals.
  • Advise managers and employees on wellbeing matters and workplace adjustments.
  • Work proactively to ensure employees receive appropriate support and guidance.
  • Ensure accurate employee records and documentation are maintained.
  • Liaise with People Operations and Payroll teams regarding employee changes.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyse trends and feedback.
  • Produce management information, reports, and people-related insights.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
