Senior HR Business Partner

London | Hybrid (3 days in office)
£120,000 – £150,000 basic + package

We're delighted to be partnering with a leading Financial Services organisation on the hiring of a new Senior HR Business Partner. The business is undergoing a significant period of transformation and growth, and as part of this next phase, we have been retained to appoint this new role, joining the organisation’s HR leadership team.

This is a newly shaped role with a broad remit. Whilst it will provide senior-level, generalist HR partnering across the business, the successful candidate will also play a central role in some of the organisation’s most significant transformation programmes.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity for an experienced HR leader to join a business where there is genuine scope to influence both the organisation and its future people agenda.

The successful candidate will operate as a senior member of the Business Partnering team and a key voice within the HR leadership team, working alongside specialist leaders across Reward, Talent, Inclusion, Diversity, Learning & Development, and HR Operations.

The role will combine strategic partnering with hands-on delivery. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in an environment where there is still plenty to build, shape, and improve.

A major part of the mandate will be supporting the business through a substantial transformation agenda, including:

  • The insourcing of various new business areas.
  • The organisation's digital agenda, encompassing automation, an enterprise data platform, and the adoption of AI across the business.
  • Organisation design, operating model development, and cultural change associated with these programmes.
  • Building the capability, structures, and behaviours required for a more technology-enabled organisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a trusted adviser and strategic HR partner to senior business leaders.
