Exciting opportunity for a Senior HR Business Partner looking to make a change!

Location: Warrington, with UK travel
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive


About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a large, established organisation looking to appoint an experienced Senior HR Business Partner. This is a senior, commercially focused HR role working closely with leadership teams to ensure the people strategy supports wider business objectives. You will act as a trusted advisor across a broad HR remit, taking the lead on complex employee relations matters, organisational change, workforce planning, talent development, and employee engagement.

The organisation operates across multiple locations, so this role would suit someone comfortable working within a large, multi-site environment. Regular travel will form part of the position.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Partnership

    • Partner with senior leaders to align people strategy with business objectives
    • Advise on workforce planning, talent, succession, and organisational change
    • Act as a trusted advisor on complex people matters
  • Employee Relations & Performance

    • Lead complex ER cases, including investigations, grievances, and disciplinaries
    • Coach managers on performance, development, and HR best practice
    • Ensure employment law and internal policies are consistently applied

  • Talent Development & Engagement

    • Support talent, succession, and leadership development initiatives
    • Drive employee engagement, wellbeing, inclusion, and retention
    • Identify skills gaps and development priorities
  • HR Data & Continuous Improvement

    • Use HR data and workforce trends to support business decisions
    • Identify opportunities to improve HR policies, processes, and ways of working
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

    • Build strong relationships with senior leaders, managers, and employees
    • Collaborate with wider HR teams to deliver joined-up people solutions
    • Support wider HR projects and organisational change programmes

About You

  • Significant experience within a HR Business Partnering or senior HR advisory role
  • Experience within construction, infrastructure, or a similar project-led environment is highly desirable
  • Experience working across a large (2,000+), complex, or multi-site organisation
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Extensive experience managing complex employee relations matters
  • Experience supporting organisational change, workforce planning, and talent initiatives
  • Confidence influencing and partnering with senior stakeholders
  • Strong coaching, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable using HR data and insights to inform decisions
  • Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience
  • CIPD accreditation or a similar professional HR qualification would be advantageous
