Senior Human Resources Business Partner
Location: London hybrid
Reporting to: Head of HR
The Opportunity
We are seeking a commercially focused and relationship-driven Senior HR Business Partner to support key business functions within a growing and dynamic organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to partner with senior leaders, influence business strategy, and help shape a high-performing culture within an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment.
As a trusted advisor to business leaders, you will drive the people agenda, support organisational growth, and lead strategic HR initiatives across talent, performance, organisational design, employee relations, succession planning, and change management.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnering
- Partner with Managing Directors and senior leadership teams to deliver people strategies aligned to business objectives.
- Provide commercially focused HR advice on organisational effectiveness, workforce planning, and business transformation.
- Challenge and influence senior stakeholders to drive high-performance behaviours and leadership effectiveness.
- Use workforce and people data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that support business decision-making.
Talent Management & Succession
- Lead talent review and succession planning activities across client groups.
- Partner with leaders to identify, develop and retain high-potential talent.
- Support career development and internal mobility initiatives.
- Work closely with Talent Acquisition to attract and retain top industry talent.

Employee Relations & Risk Management
- Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary, grievance, conduct and absence issues.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
- Balance commercial objectives with effective risk management and governance.
Organisational Development & Change
- Support organisational design, restructuring and business change initiatives.
- Lead and facilitate change management programmes across client areas.
- Drive employee engagement, culture and leadership development initiatives.
- Champion diversity, equity, inclusion and wellbeing strategies.
HR Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Lead strategic HR projects and contribute to wider people initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement across HR processes, policies and practices.
- Support enhancements to HR systems, reporting and people analytics.
- Collaborate with specialist HR teams including Reward, Talent, Learning & Development and HR Operations.
Candidate Profile
Experience
- Significant HR Business Partnering experience within insurance, financial services, professional services or another highly regulated environment.
- Strong track record of partnering with senior executives and business leaders.
- Experience supporting organisational change, acquisitions, integrations, restructures and transformation programmes.
- Demonstrable experience managing complex employee relations matters.
- Proven ability to influence leadership teams and deliver people solutions that drive business performance.

Qualifications
- CIPD qualified (Level 7 preferred) or equivalent.
- Degree educated desirable but not essential.
