Job title: Senior HR Consultant

Job Type: Contract, 12 months

Start date: ASAP

Location: Preston - Hybrid Working Available

Upto 40 Hours Per Week

The Role:

  • Translate business strategy and HR OPx strategy into workforce and people plans, ensuring that HR proactively supports the organization's growth objectives and future priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of the HR function in the UK by addressing current challenges in execution, service quality, and operational effectiveness, while enhancing business value and the employee experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Partner with business leaders to understand strategic priorities and business plans and translate them into workforce, organizational, and HR plans.
  • Develop short, medium, and long-term people plans, in alignment with HRBPs, that support business growth, organizational change, and future capability needs.
  • Work closely with the UK HR team to review and improve HR delivery processes, identifying root causes of service challenges and implementing sustainable solutions to increase efficiency, consistency, and employee experience.
  • Align UK HR priorities with global HR frameworks and COEs initiatives, ensuring appropriate local adaptation where required and reduce complexity while maintaining compliance with UK legislation and collective bargaining requirements.
  • Build improvement roadmaps and practical implementation plans, ensuring recommendations can be embedded and sustained beyond the consulting engagement.
  • Support change initiatives and foster a continuous improvement mindset across the HR function.

Required Skills

  • Essential to have experience of operating in a similar senior HR role.
  • In-depth knowledge of global and local HR developments.
  • Strategic planning and implementation expertise. This will also include being able to monitor and provide progress updates.
  • Change management expertise and being able to integrate the HR vision.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills and the ability to work with multi stakeholders.
  • Have substantial experience of working with differing stakeholders internally and externally including Trade Unions
