Senior Hydraulics Engineer / Hydraulic Systems Specialist (Part Time)
We are looking for an experienced Hydraulics Engineer to support an ongoing project. The resource will operate as an integrated member of the project team and be capable of independently managing hydraulic engineering activities without supervision.

What You Will Do
- Interpreting customer requirements and identifying scope creep against the original bid
- Managing technical communication with hydraulic suppliers
- Reviewing actuator sizing, hydraulic system management (HSM), hydraulic circuit definitions, and safety feature integration
- Reviewing hydraulic schematics, calculations, sizing reports, and supplier technical documentation
- Converting supplier documentation into EDE standard customer-facing formats
- Supporting test rig BOM development
- Supporting fabrication, assembly, hydraulic installation, build, and commissioning activities
- Defining validation and acceptance test cases
- Producing Statements of Compliance against project requirements
The Client will be responsible for day-to-day task assignment and project direction, review and acceptance of deliverables, and technical governance and customer interface.

- Hydraulic actuator sizing and hydraulic circuit design expertise
- Strong technical documentation and compliance reporting capability
- Supplier management and technical review experience
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of project deliverables
- Familiarity with aerospace standards, regulations, and certification requirements

Desired Experience
- Aircraft hydraulic systems experience (4000 PSI rated, 3000 PSI operating systems)
- Hydraulic actuator sizing and hydraulic circuit design
- Aerospace standards, regulations, and certification requirements
- Hydraulic test rig design, build, commissioning, and operation
- Familiarity with UKCA and CE requirements applicable to hydraulic test rigs
- Supplier management and technical review experience
- Strong technical documentation and compliance reporting capability
Work Experience
Key Technical/Professional Competencies
- Good knowledge on various manufacturing processes
- Experience in lean & 5S management
- Exposure to Aero/ Auto industry is preferred
- Awareness of aerospace/auto quality requirements (AS9100, OSHAS, TS 16949, various ISO )
Education & Professional Qualification
- Graduate / Post Graduate in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum hands on experience in Manufacturing Engineering
- Project management experience is must
