Senior Flood Risk Consultant
Location: Glasgow
Salary: GBP50,000 - GBP65,000
Are you an experienced Senior Flood Risk Consultant looking to advance your career in Glasgow? Join a leading multidisciplinary consultancy and contribute to impactful flood risk management projects across the UK.
The Opportunity
Join a team of experts in flood risk management, focusing on hydraulic modelling, hydrology, and GIS. As a Senior Flood Risk Consultant, you will lead and deliver projects using InfoWorks ICM, TUFLOW, and other advanced software. Collaborate with clients and mentor junior staff to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead flood risk projects with a focus on integrated catchment modelling using InfoWorks ICM.
- Deliver 1D:2D hydraulic models for rivers, surface water, and coastal waters.
- Build strong client relationships and ensure collaborative working.
- Mentor and develop junior team members.
- Use GIS tools like ArcGIS, MapInfo, or QGIS for data analysis.
- Support project managers with financial and change control procedures.

Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in flood risk analysis and hydraulic modelling.
- Proficiency in InfoWorks ICM, TUFLOW, and GIS software.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Chartered status or willingness to achieve it.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
