Job Description
About the Role
The purpose of the role is to provide specialist advice, guidance, administrative and practical support for the development of University REF impact case studies, and to contribute to the wider research and innovation impact and knowledge exchange agenda.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist advice, guidance, administrative and practical support for the development of University REF impact case studies.
- Work closely with academic and professional services colleagues to support the identification, development and evidencing of research impact.
- Help ensure that impact activity is planned, captured and communicated effectively.
- Contribute to preparations for REF submission, including case study development, evidence collection, quality checking and use of relevant systems and processes.
- Support institutional activity relating to impact culture and the acceleration of research impact.
- Maintain current knowledge of sector policy and good practice.
- Help demonstrate the external value and benefits of the University’s research and innovation activity.
Requirements
- Expected to be onsite for 8 days per month.
- The remainder of the time can be spent working from home if desired.

This appointment is offered on a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2029.

Salary Information
New appointments will routinely be made to the entry spine point (minimum) for the advertised grade, from where the individual will (in addition to receiving annual cost-of-living-related increases) progress through the pay range to the maximum for the grade, within a reasonable timeframe. This ensures fairness, consistency and transparency in our pay structures. A higher starting salary or market supplement may be available for a truly exceptional candidate when circumstances fully justify a departure from our normal policy.
