For decades, Children with Cancer UK has supported families through the toughest moments of their lives.

From funding vital research, to providing supporting and improving wellbeing for families experiencing childhood cancer, they’re a charity with a clear mission: To improve survival rates and the quality of survival in young cancer patients, and to find ways to prevent cancer in the future.

This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced Fundraiser with a background in Individual Giving to deliver an eclectic, year-round programme of supporter-focused fundraising activity, such as new raffle and lottery page launches, multi-channel Christmas appeals and campaigns to support the growth of legacy giving, all underpinned by continuous testing, optimisation and tailored stewardship.

Responsible for delivering an ambitious annual income target, the Senior Individual Giving Manager will oversee the Individual Giving (IG) team while contributing to the overall fundraising and wider organisational strategy. The role will also involve testing and optimising supporter acquisition campaigns and developing direct marketing activities across media channels (including F2F and paid social).

Experience Essential

  • Demonstrable Individual Giving fundraising experience.
  • Experience of developing Individual Giving strategies, implementing a test and learn approach into a programme for continued improved performance.
  • Experience of developing plans to acquire new donors with a focus on long-term return on investment and a high lifetime value.
  • Knowledge of budgets and experience of reporting financial performance against targets.
  • Ability to interpret data to inform actions and decisions to grow income or improve processes - therefore highly numerate and methodical, with the ability to analyse data and produce reports.
  • Excellent proven track record of managing an integrated direct marketing programme across a variety of channels.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence at a senior level.
  • Experience of working with data teams to deliver complex strategy selections, ensuring decisions made are insight driven to improve performance of the Individual Giving programme.
  • Working knowledge of supporter acquisition models of recruitment to effectively develop and retain new supporters.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
