Senior Industrial Designer
Shape where a 50 year old brand goes next, not just what it looks like. As Senior Industrial Designer at Vax in Droitwich, you turn design research and insight into concepts that define the next generation of floor care. A strong bonus, pension and private medical package comes with it, along with flex on site days for the right person.
Scope of the Role
As a Senior Industrial Designer, you look beyond the next launch, shaping Vax's future concepts from research and insight.
- Develop future concepts and visions beyond the immediate NPD pipeline, with Advanced Development.
- Translate design research and consumer insight into credible, buildable concepts.
- Own front end sketching, ideation and design direction from a blank page.
- Produce high quality CAD, renders and visual models in SolidWorks that sell an idea fast.
- Shape CMF and the visual brand language as Vax rebuilds its design identity.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
