Help us protect the future of banking

At Zempler Bank, we're building a modern banking platform designed to support the UK's small businesses and entrepreneurs. As we continue to grow, security remains at the heart of everything we do.

We're looking for a Senior Information Security Engineer to join our Technology & Security Operations team. This is a hands-on role where you'll help design, build and continually improve the security controls, tooling and processes that protect our cloud, application, Microsoft 365 and infrastructure environments.

You'll work across security engineering, threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, cloud security and cyber resilience, partnering closely with engineering teams and our external Security Operations Centre to strengthen our security posture and stay ahead of emerging threats.

What you'll be doing

  • Building and improving security controls across our cloud and Microsoft 365 environments
  • Developing detections, automations and response capabilities using SIEM, SOAR and security tooling
  • Investigating and responding to security incidents and helping drive lessons learned
  • Conducting threat hunting and using threat intelligence to identify potential risks
  • Managing vulnerabilities and partnering with teams to prioritise remediation
  • Supporting secure development practices and embedding security into delivery pipelines
  • Contributing to security architecture, threat modelling and technical design reviews
  • Helping improve cyber resilience, recovery capabilities and operational security processes

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
