IT Infrastructure Engineer – 2nd/3rd Line & Networking

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team in Wrexham, providing 2nd/3rd line technical support across a busy, multi-site environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys getting hands-on with infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies and end-user support. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving the IT environment, resolving complex technical issues and working directly with users and stakeholders across the business.

The ideal candidate will have a strong 2nd/3rd line support background, combined with solid networking knowledge and experience across Microsoft and modern endpoint technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support across hardware, software, applications, networking and infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network, connectivity, endpoint and user issues.
  • Support and maintain HP/Aruba networking infrastructure, including switching and wireless technologies.
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365, including user accounts, services and troubleshooting.
  • Support Azure and cloud-based services within the wider IT environment.
  • Manage and support endpoints using Microsoft Intune and Autopilot.
  • Assist with device deployment, configuration, security and lifecycle management.
  • Work across a multi-site environment, providing technical support to users and local stakeholders.
  • Identify recurring issues and contribute to improvements across the IT infrastructure.
  • Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
  • Assist with infrastructure projects, upgrades and technology implementations where required.
  • Maintain appropriate technical documentation and follow IT support and security processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
