Senior Infrastructure Engineer | DV Cleared
📍 Kidlington, Oxfordshire (Hybrid Working)
💰 £650 per day (Inside IR35)
📅 12-Month Contract
We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer with active DV Clearance to support a major infrastructure transformation programme with a high-profile public sector organisation based in Kidlington, Oxfordshire. Active DV Clearance is essential and candidates without current clearance cannot be considered.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the design, implementation, and migration of critical infrastructure services, delivering a modern, resilient Microsoft-based platform across multiple sites.
You will play a key role in:
- Designing and deploying a highly available two-site Microsoft Hyper-V cluster
- Migrating approximately 40 physical and virtual servers from existing VMware and Hyper-V environments
- Upgrading, patching, and hardening systems in line with security and governance standards
- Building new infrastructure to support enterprise monitoring and vulnerability management platforms
- Designing and implementing a Microsoft PKI/Certificate Authority solution
- Supporting penetration testing, vulnerability remediation, and security improvements
- Producing technical documentation and delivering knowledge transfer to internal ICT teams

Key Skills & Experience
- Extensive Microsoft Infrastructure experience
- Strong Hyper-V clustering and virtualisation expertise
- Windows Server administration, deployment, and migration
- VMware to Hyper-V migration experience
- Active Directory and Group Policy
- PKI / Certificate Services design and implementation
- High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and Failover Clustering
- Security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and governance compliance
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and technical documentation skills

Essential Requirements
- 🔒 Current DV Clearance (must already hold active DV clearance)
- 🔒 Willingness to undergo additional police vetting if required
- 🏢 Ability to attend site in Kidlington for practical delivery activities
Contract Details
- Role: Senior Infrastructure Engineer
- Location: Kidlington, Oxfordshire (Hybrid)
- Duration: 12 Months
- Rate: £650 per day
- IR35 Status: Inside IR35
