Senior Infrastructure Integration Engineer
6-Month Contract | Financial Services | Glasgow/Hybrid | £580
We're partnering with a leading global Financial Services organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Infrastructure Integration Engineer for an initial 6-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing Platform Engineering team working on critical infrastructure, automation, and security initiatives within a complex enterprise environment. This role is ideal for a senior engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, improving platform security, and delivering robust automation across large-scale Linux environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Remediate security vulnerabilities across infrastructure and automation platforms.
- Design, develop, and implement secure, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Integrate vendor, open-source, and internally developed technologies into enterprise infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain automation using Python.
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment validation.
- Create and execute test plans for infrastructure and security-related changes.
- Validate complex platform changes within lab and pre-production environments before release.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Operations, and Application teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and continuous platform improvements.

Required Experience
- Strong Linux systems engineering and administration experience.
- Excellent Python development skills.
- Experience working within large-scale distributed infrastructure environments.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, release automation, and automated testing.
- Experience with vulnerability remediation, secure coding, and infrastructure hardening.
- Ability to develop robust validation, testing, and deployment strategies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Linux, networking, automation, and infrastructure services.
- Experience supporting critical production platforms.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multiple technical teams.

Desirable Skills
- Perl development experience.
- Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible, SaltStack, or similar.
- VMware ESXi, virtualisation, or private cloud platforms.
- Security scanning, vulnerability management, compliance, or audit experience.
