Senior Infrastructure Engineer

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Designing, maintaining, and improving secure infrastructure across multi-classification environments
- Supporting public, private, and hybrid cloud platforms across both internal systems and customer projects
- Managing and enhancing secure collaboration, development, and virtualised environments
- Performing infrastructure maintenance, patching, upgrades, and hardening activities through change control processes
- Monitoring systems, triaging alerts, and resolving incidents to maintain platform stability and performance
- Working closely with engineers, architects, and delivery teams to deliver secure-by-design solutions
- Supporting Microsoft 365 and cloud-based SaaS offerings
- Driving automation initiatives through scripting and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Advising project teams and stakeholders on infrastructure and support best practice
- Contributing to continuous improvement, technical documentation, and knowledge sharing across the wider team
- Supporting technical delivery within Agile environments

Main Skills Needed:
- Strong Windows Server administration experience
- Linux systems knowledge across environments such as RedHat, Ubuntu, or CentOS
- VMware infrastructure administration including vSphere and vCenter
- Azure and Microsoft 365 administration experience
- Kubernetes and container platform exposure, including OpenShift or VMware TKGI
- Networking fundamentals and infrastructure troubleshooting capability
- Automation and scripting skills using tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform
- Understanding of secure or highly regulated environments
- Exposure to DevSecOps tooling and security-focused infrastructure practices
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and vulnerability management tools
- Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset
- Comfortable working within Agile delivery teams
