Senior Infrastructure Engineer | BMC Helix, AutoSys, IaC | Government Tooling Behind Services Used by Millions | Active SC Clearance
Salary: up to £60,000
Location: Manchester or Birmingham
Security clearance: SC required
I'm hiring permanent Lead Infrastructure Engineers to support and optimise the BMC Helix estate of a large UK government department, along with its AutoSys Workload Automation (WLA) platform. You'll be based in Manchester or Birmingham. You'll keep the tooling services operational teams depend on stable and available, so the department's own engineers can focus on strategic work.
You'll look after BMC Helix Operations Manager (BHOM), Helix Capacity Optimisation (BHCO) and Helix Discovery, and build Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for a new SaaS integration. It's a lead role at SFIA 5, so you'll bring technical direction as well as delivery, and you'll join the out-of-hours support rota.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
