Senior Civil Engineer
Location: Leeds
Salary: GBP40,000 - GBP50,000 plus benefits
I am recruiting for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing multidisciplinary consultancy in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer who wants project ownership, client exposure and a genuine role in developing a busy infrastructure team.
This Senior Infrastructure Engineer role focuses on delivering highways and drainage design across residential, commercial and industrial development schemes. You will manage projects from concept through to completion, producing high-quality technical designs, reports, and drawings while ensuring compliance with design standards and statutory requirements. The role offers strong client-facing responsibility alongside the opportunity to support and mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of highways, drainage, and site infrastructure for development projects
- Prepare technical outputs using MicroDrainage, Civil 3D, Causeway PDS, and AutoCAD
- Deliver S38, S278, and S104 submissions and liaise with local authorities for approvals
- Produce SuDS strategies, drainage appraisals, and supporting documentation
- Manage project programmes and attend client meetings, site visits, and design reviews
- Support junior engineers and contribute to collaborative team delivery
About You
- Degree-qualified engineer with solid UK development infrastructure experience
- Strong capability in highways and drainage design
- Confident using Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, PDS, and AutoCAD
- Good understanding of UK design standards and adoption processes
- Clear communicator comfortable in client-facing situations
