Description
Senior Insights Analyst (German Speaking)
What We’re Looking For
Join Meltwater's Client Insights team, as a Senior Insights Analyst (German Speaking), where you’ll play a central role in transforming complex media data into actionable intelligence for our enterprise clients. Your expertise in social listening, media analytics, and strategic storytelling will shape bespoke reports that inform brand, communication, and business decisions at the highest level.
You’ll collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure insights are accurate, timely, and strategically aligned, continuously refining methodologies to keep pace with a rapidly evolving media landscape. Acting as both an analyst and strategic thinker, you’ll turn data into narratives that guide global brands through opportunities and risks across social, digital, and traditional channels.
At Meltwater, you’ll immerse yourself in a culture of continuous learning and inclusive leadership, working alongside experienced peers and respected industry experts. Our environment values curiosity, initiative, and accountability, empowering you to drive measurable impact through your analytical and creative contributions.
What You'll Do:
- Translate client objectives into structured reporting frameworks, Boolean queries, and dashboards that align with brand and communication KPIs.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis across social, digital, and (online) news media to uncover trends, sentiment shifts, and key narratives.
- Transform complex data sets into clear, compelling insight stories independently, by adapting templates to specific client needs, that inform brand strategy, reputation management, and campaign effectiveness, answering the ‘so what?’.
- Maintain visibility across reporting timelines, proactively communicating progress, risks, and ensuring methodological and visual consistency.
- Build Boolean queries and validate data integrity, perform quality checks, and uphold analytical rigor across all deliverables.
- Develop and enhance reporting templates, checklists, and visualization tools to improve insight delivery efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client and internal stakeholders, own day to day communication and address customer inquiries regarding delivered reports.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify process improvements, new data opportunities, and automation possibilities that elevate report quality.
- Support internal training and learning initiatives by sharing best practices.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor insights, and measurement innovation to ensure Meltwater’s deliverables remain best-in-class.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
