Senior Associate/Counsel - Contentious Restructuring and Insolvency
Taylor Root is delighted to be working with a leading international law firm that is looking to appoint a Senior Associate or Counsel to play a key role in the growth of its contentious restructuring and insolvency practice.
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced disputes lawyer to step into a genuine number two position within a highly regarded team, working closely with leading practitioners on complex, high-value and often cross-border matters.
The team advises a broad client base including financial institutions, investment funds, insolvency practitioners, corporates, creditors, directors and other stakeholders on a range of contentious matters arising from financial distress, restructuring and insolvency scenarios.

The role will involve:
- Advising on complex contentious restructuring and insolvency matters.
- Acting on insolvency-related disputes involving office holders, creditors, directors and counterparties.
- Handling civil fraud, asset tracing, recovery and enforcement matters.
- Managing high-value, cross-border disputes alongside international colleagues.
- Leading client relationships, supervising junior lawyers and contributing to the strategic growth of the practice.
The ideal candidate will have:
- England & Wales qualification and strong academics.
- A background in commercial litigation with strong experience in contentious insolvency, restructuring and financial distress matters.
- Strong technical, drafting and strategic litigation skills.
- A proven ability to manage matters, develop client relationships and mentor junior lawyers.
- An interest in business development and helping to build a growing practice.
