Senior Instructional Designer
A leading company in the pharmaceutical industry is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer to join their dynamic team. This contract role, based in the Berkshire area, UK offers an exciting chance to shape the future of regulated learning.
This role is a 12 month contract with the potential to extend and offers mostly remote working.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
As the Senior Instructional Designer, your duties will include:
- Designing and developing high-quality, learner-centred global learning solutions, including digital modules, workshops, facilitator resources, assessments, job aids, and reinforcement.
- Translating complex scientific, clinical, and capability content into clear, practical learning for customer-facing and other functional audiences.
- Creating reusable global masters, modular content, and clear localisation guardrails that reduce duplication and support efficient market adaptation.
- Improving the operating flow around learning by introducing practical briefs, templates, metadata, stage gates, hand-offs, version rules, and lifecycle ownership.

Role Requirements
To be successful in this role, we are looking for:
- A relevant degree in a related field.
- Extensive industry experience in instructional design and learning-experience design, particularly in pharmaceuticals or life sciences.
- Working knowledge and practical experience with learning technologies such as Articulate Rise and Storyline, LMS/LXP concepts, and metadata management.
