Senior Integration Architect - London Market Insurance
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Our client, a leading international insurance organisation, is seeking an experienced Senior Integration Architect to play a key role in shaping the future of its enterprise integration landscape.
This is a strategic architecture position focused on designing secure, scalable, and resilient integration solutions across core insurance functions, supporting significant transformation initiatives and external market connectivity. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, you will define integration strategy, establish architectural standards, and deliver solutions that support underwriting, claims, finance, delegated authority, and reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain target-state integration architecture across the organisation.
- Design end-to-end integration solutions supporting underwriting, claims, finance, delegated authority, and regulatory reporting processes.
- Establish and govern integration standards, architectural principles, and best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural assurance across strategic projects and programmes.
- Support integration with external partners, market platforms, third-party providers, and regulatory services.
- Design solutions covering message routing, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and exception management.
- Ensure security, resilience, operational support, and audit requirements are embedded within integration designs.
- Collaborate with business, delivery, data, security, and vendor teams to develop practical and scalable solutions.
- Identify opportunities to simplify the integration estate, promote reuse, and reduce technical debt.

Experience Required
- Significant experience in Integration Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Enterprise Architecture roles.
- Strong experience within the London Market, Lloyd's, or Specialty Insurance sector.
- Proven track record designing integrations between core insurance platforms and external systems.
- Strong understanding of:
- API-led architecture
- Event-driven architecture
- Message-based integration
- Batch processing
- File-based integration
- Experience with data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
- Strong understanding of integration governance, security, and resilience principles.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable Experience
- ACORD messaging standards.
- London Market data exchange frameworks.
- Delegated Authority and Bordereaux processes.
- Cloud and hybrid integration architecture.
- TOGAF or equivalent architecture frameworks.
- Relevant architecture, cloud, or integration certifications.
