The Opportunity
As a Senior Interactive Designer for Kargo Commerce you'll report directly to the Associate Director of Commerce Ad Design, and work as part of their team, in some cases managing or working alongside Designers and Ad Design Interns.
The Daily To-Do
- Design & animate visually stunning and cutting-edge paid social ad campaign assets
- Employ a user-centered design to create intuitive design solutions
- Research and maintain brand guidelines for clients
- Collaborate with Client Service Managers through internal brainstorms & discussions to bring big ideas to life on the mobile screen
- Adhere to Kargo’s ad unit best practice standards in all campaign output
- Proactively develop ongoing knowledge base of new technologies and products and identify needs and opportunities for additional advertising products
- Contribute to product ideation with mocks & prototypes of innovative ideas.
- Design & execute pre-sale ad campaign mocks
- Lead and participate client brainstorms & creative meetings when requested
- Be a subject-matter expert–own a specific function based on the current needs of the organization–you’ll be one of the go-to design resources for the New York team
- Act as a mentor and manager to lower level designers and help to promote their growth
- Execute on quick-turnaround design requests from other departments

Qualifications
- 5+ years professional experience executing graphic design and/or motion graphics
- Portfolio featuring user-centered design solutions; that may include mobile, social, branding, advertising, video and animation work
- Excellent visual design talent, with a pixel-level eye for detail
- Expert proficiency of Adobe Creative Suite applications - Photoshop, XD/Figma, After Effects, Illustrator, Premiere Pro
- Highly experienced with video editing
- Ability to manage work autonomously, multi-task, and meet fast-evolving deadlines with a curiosity and passion for building rich, new ad experiences
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; the ability to explain your design decisions clearly and persuasively
- Get it done attitude without compromising quality
- Mobile advertising experience is highly preferred
- Experience using Google Apps and Microsoft Office
- Passion for social media, ad technology, innovation and user experience
- Have a strong attention to detail and high personal standards of work
- Be highly organized and adhere to team processes and asset management systems
- Comfortable in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
- People management experience
