Senior Interior Designer
Position
A leading luxury interior design studio is seeking a Senior Designer to join its team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role will focus on delivering high-end, bespoke interior projects from initial concept through to completion, combining creative design thinking with strong technical, commercial, and project management skills.
The Senior Designer will take ownership of multiple projects, working closely with clients, suppliers, procurement teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to an exceptional standard. The role will also involve overseeing bespoke FF&E and joinery, attending site visits, and supporting the development of junior designers.
Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Senior Designer with a strong luxury portfolio and the ability to lead bespoke projects from concept through to completion.
- Proven experience as a Senior Designer or equivalent within luxury, high-end residential, hospitality, or bespoke interior design.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality luxury and/or high-end interior design projects.
- Proven ability to lead projects from concept through to installation and completion.
- Strong technical capability, including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
- Experienced in producing and overseeing detailed technical drawing packages, specifications, and design documentation.
- Confident presenting design concepts and communicating effectively with clients, suppliers, and senior stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of FF&E, bespoke furniture, joinery, and luxury detailing.
- Commercially aware, with experience managing project budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a solutions-focused approach.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Able to lead, mentor, and support junior designers, providing constructive guidance and feedback.
- Strong understanding of procurement and the relationship between design specification, sourcing, and delivery.
- Willing and able to attend site visits to monitor quality and maintain design intent.
