Senior FF&E Designer
Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience)
Location: London
About the Company
A leading luxury interior design studio is seeking an exceptional Senior FF&E Designer to join its expanding team. The studio delivers outstanding residential, hospitality and commercial interiors for discerning private clients, developers and brands across the UK and internationally.
This is a senior-level opportunity for a highly creative, commercially aware designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has the confidence to lead prestigious projects from concept through to completion.
The successful candidate will have an exceptional eye for detail, a strong understanding of luxury interiors and the ability to translate creative concepts into beautifully executed spaces. They will be confident managing complex FF&E packages, building strong relationships with clients and suppliers, and supporting the development of more junior members of the design team.
The Role
As a Senior FF&E Designer, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple high-end projects, overseeing FF&E design, sourcing, specifications, procurement and installation.
Working closely with the senior leadership team, Project Leads and wider design department, you will play a key role in developing creative concepts, refining design direction and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards.
This role requires an outstanding communicator who is comfortable presenting to clients, leading meetings, managing supplier relationships and making confident decisions throughout the design process. You will also provide guidance and support to Junior and Mid-Weight Designers, helping to maintain exceptional creative and technical standards across the studio. International travel may be required depending on project demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the FF&E delivery of multiple prestigious residential, hospitality and commercial projects from concept through to completion.
- Work closely with senior leadership and project teams to develop and deliver exceptional interior design concepts.
- Create and refine bespoke FF&E schemes, mood boards, sketches and high-quality presentation materials.
- Develop compelling visual presentations and CGI concepts to communicate design intent to clients.
- Manage all aspects of FF&E delivery including sourcing, specifications, scheduling, procurement, budgeting, deliveries and installations.
- Lead client presentations, design meetings, supplier meetings and site visits.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and specialist manufacturers.
- Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, budgets and quality standards are achieved.
- Mentor and support Junior and Mid-Weight Designers, delegating tasks effectively and providing creative guidance.
- Encourage a collaborative studio environment with strong communication across project teams.
- Review and oversee project documentation, FF&E schedules, specifications and sample libraries.
- Demonstrate strong commercial awareness, identifying solutions and supporting successful project delivery.
- Contribute ideas, design expertise and improvements to studio processes.
- Travel internationally when required to support project delivery, client meetings and installations.

Required Skills & Experience
- 4–7+ years’ experience within a luxury interior design studio or similarly demanding design environment.
- Proven experience leading high-end residential projects and managing complex FF&E packages.
- Ability to oversee projects from concept design through to completion.
- Exceptional creative ability with experience developing luxury FF&E schemes, design concepts, mood boards and presentations.
- Strong visual presentation skills, including experience creating high-quality CGI presentations.
- Extensive knowledge of luxury furniture, lighting, fabrics, finishes, bespoke joinery, decorative accessories and specialist manufacturing.
- Proven experience across sourcing, specification, procurement, budgeting and installation.
- Excellent client-facing skills with confidence presenting design concepts and leading meetings.
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and supporting junior team members.
- Excellent organisation and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach with the confidence to take ownership and make decisions.
- Strong commercial awareness and exceptional attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to travel internationally when required.
