A new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Auditor to join our Internal Audit function.

It is a really exciting time to join Yorkshire Building Society and our Internal Audit function as we continue our digital transformation, making a real difference for our customers and colleagues.

About The Role

As a Senior Auditor, you'll play a key role in the delivery of timely and cost-efficient audit work in line with Internal Audit's methodology. You'll be exposed to all elements of the audit process. This will include taking responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of audits or supporting our Audit Managers to shape and deliver more complex audits. You'll constantly be exposed to new areas and a breadth of work. We are particularly keen to hear from individuals with finance or change risk experience, although this is not essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake the delivery of audits laid out in the Audit Plan, to provide adequate assurance over the key risks within the scope of the audit.
  • Take ownership for elements of complex audits as determined by the Audit Manager and/or Senior Manager.
  • Monitor changes in the Society's business activities, using such insight to inform the audit universe and continuous risk assessment process.
  • Provide timely and robust subject matter expertise and insights on areas of specialism, to team members as required, and as an input to the periodic audit planning process.
  • Working innovatively with colleagues across Internal Audit to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the function.

About you

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
