Senior Internal Auditor – Data Analytics & AI
FTSE 250 Defence
Up to £70,000 + bonus (20%) + benefits
Farnborough; 2-3 days/week in the office
Audit & Risk Recruitment are partnering with a highly innovative FTSE 250 Defence company to recruit a newly created role in their Internal Audit function. The business is currently going through a large ERP implementation project which has presented an opportunity to increase their use of Data Analytics and AI within the Internal Audit team, and potentially beyond.
About the Role
Reporting into the Director of Internal Audit, you will be responsible for enhancing the department's use of Data Analytics and AI tools such as PowerBi, Alteryx, and Copilot. The vision of this role is to drive a greater level of maturity into all internal audit activities, provide more data-driven audit recommendations, and to maximise the effective use of the tools within the business. You may work with the broader Finance function to provide Data Analytics training and identify opportunities to increase efficiency. You will also be responsible for delivering a portfolio of Operational, Project, and Financial audits across the business from planning stage through to reporting and action tracking.

Requirements

- Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIA) Internal Audit professional
- Good experience using Data Analytics tools and deploying AI, or at least a strong passion for Data Analytics
- Candidates looking to make their first move from Big 4 or Top 10 practice will be strongly considered
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills
- Willing to commute into Farnborough 2-3 days/week
- Full eligibility to work in the UK in your own right
Compensation
The salary offered is £60,000-£70,000 + bonus (up to 20%) + strong pension.
