About the Role
Audit & Risk Recruitment are partnering with a prestigious, global investment firm, in their search for a Senior Internal Auditor to join their established Internal Audit function. Reporting to the Director of Internal Audit, you'll deliver risk-based audits and advisory engagements across a diverse European portfolio spanning Real Estate, Infrastructure, Renewable Energy, Private Equity, and Insurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver risk-based audits and advisory engagements across a diverse European portfolio
- Work within a collaborative international audit team, partnering with colleagues across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Australia
- Strengthen governance, risk management, and internal controls across a varied and growing portfolio
- Lead end-to-end internal audits, from planning through to reporting
- Produce high-quality workpapers and present commercially focused recommendations to senior stakeholders, including the C-suite
- Contribute to risk assessments, annual audit planning, portfolio company oversight, remediation tracking, and wider global Internal Audit initiatives

Requirements
- 3-5 years of UK experience in Internal Audit, External Audit, Risk, or Internal Controls
- Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIA, CPA, CISA, or CIMA)
- Big 4 experience and exposure to sectors such as Infrastructure, Real Estate, or Energy is highly advantageous
- Knowledge of SOX, data analytics, and IT controls
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to travel internationally (10-20%)
