DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS
On behalf of The Pensions Regulator (TPR), we are looking for a Senior Internal Communications Business Partner (Inside IR35) for a 3 month contract based 2 days per week in Brighton (6 days per month) remainder WFH
The role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Internal Communications Business Partner to provide interim support to the Head of Internal Communications for an initial 3-month period.
The role will support senior leaders and leadership teams with internal communications, employee engagement and organisational change activity. You will develop and deliver communications plans, create high-quality content and provide practical advice to stakeholders across the organisation.
This is a hands-on role for an experienced communications professional who can hit the ground running, manage senior stakeholders and translate complex organisational priorities into clear and engaging communications.
As a Senior Internal Communications Business Partner your main responsibilities will be to:
- Support senior leaders with effective internal communications and employee engagement.
- Develop and deliver internal communications plans aligned to organisational priorities.
- Provide communications advice and practical support to Directors and senior stakeholders.
- Translate complex, sensitive or technical information into clear and engaging messages.
- Develop strategic narratives, key messages and communications approaches.
- Support communications for organisational change, transformation and major business priorities.
- Create high-quality content including leadership briefings, presentations, articles, campaign materials and digital communications.
- Support leadership communications, colleague engagement activity and communications cascades.
- Work closely with People, Strategy, Communications and wider business teams to coordinate activity.
- Use employee insight, feedback and communications data to inform planning and improve effectiveness.
- Identify communications risks and opportunities and recommend appropriate approaches.
- Support communications measurement, reporting and continuous improvement.
- Build effective relationships across the organisation and influence stakeholders to deliver communications outcomes.
- Support in-person, virtual and hybrid engagement activities as required.

Essential:
- Strong experience delivering internal communications within a complex organisation.
- Proven experience advising and supporting senior leaders.
- Experience developing and delivering strategic communications plans.
- Strong background in employee engagement and/or change communications.
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to translate complex or sensitive information into clear, audience-focused communications.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing and business partnering skills.
- Experience using insight, feedback or data to measure communications effectiveness.

Desirable:
- Experience within the public sector, regulatory, pensions or financial services environment.
- Experience supporting significant organisational transformation or change programmes.
- Experience working directly with Executive Directors or senior leadership teams.
- Experience delivering communications across a range of digital and engagement channels.
- Experience working within a matrix organisation.
