Senior Internal Communications Manager

Department: Central Services

Employment Type: Fixed Term - Full Time

Location: London

Description

Maternity cover role, 12-15 months.

Lead and deliver internal communications across a busy and evolving period for the firm, balancing day-to-day communications whilst supporting the ongoing integration of Kreston Reeves and AAB. Working closely with senior leaders, the People & Culture team, the Integration and Transformation Office (ITO) team and AAB's Head of Internal Communications, the role will help colleagues stay informed, engaged and connected as we build the future firm together.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in bringing two organisations together, with a shared ambition to create a firm that is ‘better than both’. You'll have the opportunity to influence how we communicate this journey, working closely with senior stakeholders and colleagues across both organisations.

About the role

  • Own the internal communications approach for a range of business priorities, balancing immediate requirements with the wider strategic picture and ensuring communications are joined up across the firm
  • Translate complex business and integration activity into clear, purposeful communication plans, anticipating what colleagues need to know, when they need to know it and how different audiences may be affected
  • Work as a strategic communications partner to senior stakeholders, bringing sound judgement, constructive challenge and a clear understanding of how individual communications contribute to the wider employee experience
  • Develop and deliver communications plans for integration and change activity, working closely with the ITO team, Marketing team and People & Culture team to ensure messaging is timely, consistent and aligned with the overall direction of the firm
  • Stay ahead of a fast-moving programme of activity, quickly assessing new information, identifying communications implications and adapting plans and priorities when circumstances change
  • Lead the planning and delivery of our core internal communications, including monthly Town Halls, local Town Halls, newsletters, intranet content and communications across Teams and Viva Engage - ensuring these channels work together rather than operating in isolation
  • Shape communications around the evolution of our combined firm, including brand, technology, services, business units and ways of working, helping colleagues understand both the practical changes and the bigger picture
  • Build strong relationships across a complex stakeholder environment, bringing together information from multiple workstreams and turning it into coherent, engaging communications that keep colleagues informed and connected
  • Use initiative to identify gaps, solve problems and improve our approach to internal communications, taking ownership from initial brief through to delivery and evaluation

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we're looking for

  • Significant senior-level internal communications experience, with a proven track record of independently developing and delivering communications strategies and plans in a complex organisation.
  • Strong change and transformation communications experience, ideally including M&A or organisational integration, with the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar subject matter and translate it into clear, relevant communications.
  • A highly organised and methodical approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, anticipate dependencies and maintain momentum in a fast-moving environment without losing sight of detail.
  • Confidence and credibility with senior stakeholders, with the ability to build trust quickly, challenge constructively and influence decisions while remaining pragmatic and solutions-focused.
  • A hands-on, delivery-focused mindset, comfortable taking ownership, solving problems independently and moving between strategic thinking and detailed execution
  • Experience of M&A or integration communications would be advantageous, but we're equally interested in candidates who have supported significant transformation or organisational change and can demonstrate the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment.
