A little more about your role…
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications for UK, Ireland and Africa, you’ll lead internal communications across the region, playing a key role in how we inform, engage and connect colleagues to our business.
Working with senior leaders and stakeholders across a diverse range of functions, you’ll act as a trusted communications adviser, helping to shape messages, drive engagement and support business priorities. You'll also work closely with our global marketing and communications teams and shared service functions to ensure alignment between regional and global activity.
You’ll bring strong local knowledge, commercial awareness and an understanding of what matters to colleagues across the region. Using these insights, you'll help shape communication strategies that reflect local priorities while supporting our wider business goals.

Key responsibilities:
- Translate business and corporate strategy into meaningful employee experiences.
- Develop and lead integrated internal communications strategies, campaigns and engagement initiatives that support business objectives and strengthen colleague engagement.
- Act as the regional internal communications lead, providing strategic direction, planning and oversight for communications activities across a range of channels, audiences and business priorities.
- Partner with global Marketing & Communications teams and regional stakeholders to adapt and deliver communications programmes that meet local business and employee needs.
- Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders, providing expert communications counsel, challenge and support on business priorities, change initiatives and employee engagement.
- Lead the planning and delivery of high-profile, complex and sensitive communications, ensuring appropriate positioning, stakeholder alignment and effective execution.
- Identify emerging issues, risks and opportunities, providing communications recommendations and practical solutions to support business outcomes.
- Work with our global Marketing & Communications teams to optimise internal communication channels, tools and content, ensuring they are fit for purpose and support organisational objectives.
- Actively contribute to our global One Marcom team, partnering with colleagues across regional, global and shared Marketing & Communications functions to share best practice, align activity and deliver effective employee communications.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…
- Significant experience in internal communications within a large, complex organisation.
- Strong strategic communications expertise across a broad range of channels and audiences, with the ability to tailor approaches to different employee groups and business needs.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with proven experience building trusted relationships, influencing senior leaders and providing sound communications counsel.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear, engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences.
- Experience operating in fast-paced, evolving environments, managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality outcomes through collaboration and influence.
- Strong judgement, professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive, confidential and business-critical communications.
- Experience working in a commercially focused organisation and applying insight, data and emerging best practice to continually improve communications effectiveness.
- A degree in Communications or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
