Senior Associate – Investment Operations
Manchester | Hybrid
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate – Investment Operations to join a leading global financial services organisation in Manchester.
This is a key role within an investment operations and service delivery function, supporting institutional clients and taking responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of high-quality operational services.
We’re looking for someone with a strong understanding of funds, investment operations, trade execution and hedging, who can combine technical knowledge with strong client and stakeholder management skills.
The Role
As a Senior Associate, you will act as a subject matter expert within the operational team, taking ownership of client relationships and ensuring services are delivered accurately, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a subject matter expert across day-to-day investment operations.
- Managing assigned client relationships and engaging with clients regularly.
- Developing a strong understanding of fund structures, investment activity, trade execution and hedging processes.
- Supporting the execution and operational lifecycle of investment and FX-related trades.
- Ensuring transactions and operational processes are completed accurately and within agreed service standards.
- Producing and reporting client KPIs and supporting regular client service reviews.
- Identifying opportunities to improve workflows, reduce manual processes and increase operational efficiency.
- Supporting the implementation of automation, digital tools and AI-enabled solutions.
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive procedures and process documentation.
- Working closely with Change and Transformation teams to implement new processes and initiatives.
- Identifying operational risks and supporting appropriate controls and remediation activity.
- Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement across the wider operations function.

About You
We’re looking for an experienced investment operations professional who can demonstrate:
- Strong experience within investment operations, middle office, fund operations, fund accounting or asset servicing.
- A good understanding of funds and investment products.
- Practical experience of trade execution, trade processing and the investment trade lifecycle.
- Knowledge of hedging, FX or currency management would be highly advantageous.
- Experience working with institutional or investment management clients.
- Strong technical or supervisory experience within a financial services environment.
- A proven track record of delivering process improvement and operational change.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of operational risk and controls.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Confidence working with data, reporting and client KPIs.
- An interest in automation, digital tools and AI, with the ability to identify practical opportunities to improve operational processes.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
