Senior iOS Engineer
Central London / Hybrid (3 days in office)
Permanent Role
£80,000 - £100,000 + Package
Talentedge is working with an established, growing consumer-focused organisation that is continuing to invest in its digital platforms and customer experience. Technology plays a central role in the business, with its mobile application becoming an increasingly important part of how customers interact with the brand.
They are looking for an experienced Senior iOS Engineer to take ownership of their iOS application, driving its continued development and helping shape the future of the mobile experience.
This is a hands-on, senior individual contributor role offering significant autonomy and the opportunity to make a genuine impact. Rather than simply maintaining an existing application, you will be responsible for championing its development, introducing new features and identifying opportunities to improve performance, personalisation and customer engagement.
The Role
- Take end-to-end technical ownership of the iOS application, driving its ongoing development and improvement
- Design, develop and deliver new features using Swift and SwiftUI
- Champion the mobile application internally, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance functionality and user experience
- Develop features focused on personalisation, customer engagement and improving the overall user journey
- Implement and optimise in-app functionality, including push notifications and customer-facing features
- Work closely with Product, Data, Insights and Marketing teams to translate business requirements and customer insights into technical solutions
- Take ownership of technical decisions, ensuring the application remains scalable, reliable and high-performing
- Oversee mobile quality assurance, automated testing and release processes
- Integrate APIs and backend services to support seamless application functionality
- Use customer feedback and performance data to identify areas for improvement
- Contribute to the wider mobile technology roadmap and help shape the future direction of the application
- Drive best practices in iOS development, ensuring high standards of code quality, usability and performance

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
